- An underwater photoshoot is unlike any other photoshoot out there. It is different, and if you decide to try it, you will be well rewarded with one-of-a-kind images that few have!
- Fret not! Your eyes won’t hurt. The pools we use have specifically been chosen for its low chlorine content. And no, you will not look bloated underwater. Before each shoot, Drewperspectives will do a short breathing training exercise that will make you look your natural best! Just look at our photos and you can judge for yourself. They aren’t models, they’re clients just like you.
- Lastly, sunlight is very important. We are blessed to be in sunny Singapore so you are in the perfect place for an underwater photoshoot!

4. Behind Singapore Flyer
Built in 2008, the Singapore Flyer, a giant observation wheel near Singapore’s Central Business District (CBD), is now firmly a part of the city’s iconic skyline. Whether taken in the day or at night, portraits taken here – with the Flyer in full view – are just as gorgeous.

- Pack a portable fan and tissues to wipe away your sweat spots and keep cool throughout the shoot! Men should at least get some powder on their face to prevent from profusely sweating.
- Be prepared to move around and be sweaty once you start shooting. Dynamic poses are often the most candid and memorable so don’t shy away from those – especially running shots.
- Ask the photographer about the light depending on the time of day. Catching some sun flares in your shots will be beautiful so pick your locations and shoot timing based on that!

11. Changi Boardwalk
The 2.2km-long boardwalk offers beautiful, European-like views of the coastline. We recommend you head there just in time for sunset to enjoy the vivid hues and captivating views.

- Be mentally prepared to have a good time, despite the weather condition or if there is a need to make changes in the plan.
- Engage a photographer that is versatile and can adapt to the prevailing condition.
- More doesn’t equate to quality. Plan for 2-3 location shoot max. 1-2 changes of outfit. Remember, the prewedding is supposed to showcase your love for one another while you are ‘dress’ in your ‘best attire’, it’s not about having the most attire change or props used.

- The golden hour for portraits is during the early mornings or early evenings, where the lighting is soft and doesn’t cast a harsh shadow on the subject.
- Have a friend or family member around to help during the shoot. Sometimes, you need someone to make adjustments on your outfit, hair and so on. Having someone you trust around to make minor adjustments will make things easier.
- Bring refreshments to hydrate and cool down during the shoot, as you’ll be out most of the day.

17. Sang Nila Utama Gar Dens, Fort Canning
If Bali holds special memories for the both of you, here’s one that recreates the island’s iconic temple gates in the middle of Singapore. Named after the first ancient king of Singapura, the Javanese-like gardens, which were built in 2019, honours Singapore’s pre-Raffles heritage. Furthermore, Fort Canning – which is a popular place for wedding photoshoots – offers plenty of stunning backdrops, including the famous spiral stairway.

18. Neram Streams, Jurong Lake Gardens
The streams, which were originally converted from a concrete drain from Yuan Ching Road to Jurong Lake, almost reminds us of the charming countryside in Europe, where you can expect to find a gnome or two.

19. Budha Tooth Relic Temple, Chinatown
Head here for striking photos with a touch of history, thanks to the temple’s historical significance, vivid colours, and unique architecture.

- These gardens are perfect for a couple who wish to take a walk to the past. With the brick stones and the freshwater spring, it makes it easy to believe that you are walking across the royal gardens of the 14th century Srivijaya Empire itself. The perfect symmetry and the intricate carvings on the walls would make it the best spot for a serene traditional photoshoot, one that would represent the Javanese culture. This location is also ideal for couples who choose a simple solemnisation at the Registry of Marriages.
- What was originally just a straight, concrete drain, Neram Streams is now a 1.3km beautiful collection of various beautiful trees. If you are looking for a location to give you a fantasy feel, this should definitely be on your list. Neram streams is perfect if you are looking for an alluring location without people around. Wait for the golden hour and be amazed by the reflections of the waters on your face. Month of April is the best for a full, pink landscape.
- A traditional, Chinese photoshoot is something many Singaporeans look for. One location to fulfil that dream is at Chinatown. While there may be other spots like the food centre or the hidden alleys, the highlight of Chinatown would be the iconic Tooth Relic Temple. The red walls and multi-tier pagoda make it the best location for that perfect wide-angle shot. With the right permissions, you may consider going up for a quick shoot at the rooftop! During Lunar New Year, both the temple and the streets are more vibrant and decorated.
